COBALT CONVEYORS LAUNCHES NEW MAINTENANCE PACKAGES AT MAINTEC 2012

Lancashire based Cobalt Conveyors is delighted to have taken a stand for the first time at the MAINTEC 2012 exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham, 28th February to 1st March.

With the guiding principle of MAINTEC to offer key decision makers from industry ways to boost plant performance, reduce costs and encourage timely intervention to prevent faults and failures, Cobalt has developed an attractive maintenance offering to help companies prevent costly conveyor downtime.

Although Cobalt’s core business lies with its ability to design, supply and build new conveyor systems that can either be standard kit or bespoke turnkey systems, the onset of the current economic climate has seen many of its customers asking for help to maintain, recondition or recycle existing conveyors and materials handling equipment.

Simon Turner, Managing Director explained why diversifying his service has been so rewarding:

"When we started Cobalt back in 2007, we were amazed by the amount of business that we won designing and installing brand new conveyor systems. However as the recession has bitten and bitten hard, many of our clients from a variety of manufacturing backgrounds have had to reduce their capital expenditure and reuse existing kit wherever possible."

"Increasingly we are being asked to provide flexible, ongoing maintenance contracts to help prevent conveyor downtime and lengthen the lifespan of materials handling systems. In a nutshell that’s what attracted us to exhibit at MAINTEC this year – people are searching for ways to improve efficiency at much lower costs. To that end we have put together very attractive conveyor maintenance packages for those visitors who come by the Cobalt stand."

As a special deal for those visitors who stop at the Cobalt Conveyors Stand (E25) during the exhibition, Cobalt is encouraging companies to sign up for a Maintenance Contract for six months but only pay for five or sign up for twelve months and only pay for ten.
